This weeks
guest is Chad Briggs
Chad Briggs won the title of Sexiest Geek Alive for
2002.
His bio page is http://www.creativecow.net/leaders/briggs_chad/briggs_chad.html. The creative cow site is a web forum for post production/production professionals to come and discuss the latest tools and share tutorials/experiences. A great site. In an interview for his local newspaper, Chad brought his victory into perspective with these thoughts: "I believe i have a very deep and wide range of geekdom. Not only am I a tech geek, but I'm a fitness geek, computer game geek, book geek, major movie geek, music geek, journalism geek, comic geek, and many more categories of geekdom. Thus, I believe i can bring bipartisanship to the world of geek and unite them under a single geekly flag." Chad is the post production supervisor at ExpandMail, a company producing streaming video e-mail marketing. During the .com boom Chad helped write three patents for them. Starting in the 2nd quarter of 2001 Chad started his own post production house in Dallas, Last Dragon Post, www.lastdragonpost.com. He is an active member of the Local Alias|Wavefront user group in Dallas. He puts together small workshops for students and professionals in the Dallas area regarding Maya and many other post production software tools.

Quick Folder Organizing
If you have multiple folders on your desktop, and you want to do some organizing, here is a quick way of doing it. Click and drag one folder and drop it onto another. Poof! The dropped folder is gone. What Windows has done, is automatically placed the dropped folder within the other folder. If you then go into explorer, you will see that the dropped folder is inside of the other.

The Windows Folder
If you are tired of seeing the Windows Warning Message "Modifying the contents of this folder can be dangerous. . " every time you hit the Windows folder in. This error is generated by a system file and needs to be unhidden. Go to View>Folder>Options>View and check the box marked "show all files". Click OK and hit the F5 key to refresh your system. Zip Drives
If you are looking for a quick, cheap way to back up large amounts of data on an external media, then an external Zip drive may be just the thing for you. A 100 Mb Zip drive can cost only around $60, and literally takes just minutes to install. Once installed, you can back up databases, email, pictures, and more. Two things to note, your computer must possess a USB port, and you generally cannot have Zip drives from multiple manufacturers installed at the same time.
