A Site for Tweakers
Are you a tweaker? Do you like to get the last little bit of performance out of your system? If your answer is yes, then you need to visit Tweakers. This Australian site features all kinds of technical information and some great equipment reviews.
Tweakers also offers links to sites of interest. For example, if you'd like to make a window for your power supply, you can visit a page that shows you how. Why you might want a window in a power supply is not explained.
Tweakers is located at Tweakers.com.

A New Browser
There's another browser around that we've never tried before. It's called IE Opera. Well, it WAS called IE Opera. To avoid conflicts with Opera, its name was changed to Gorilla. And perhaps by the time you receive this tip, its name will have changed again. BUT...
Gorilla (formerly IE Opera) offers a multiple document interface (MDI) and offers built-in Google searching, privacy options, and ease of use.
IE Opera is very similar to Microsoft Internet Explorer and is fully compatible with the Microsoft browser. Gorilla (formerly IE Opera) is freeware and you can download a copy at the IEOpera site.

World Time
If it's important to you to know the time in a number of locations, you should get a free copy of WorldTime. This utility places a bar that displays the time at a number of selected locations across the top of your computer screen.
We suggest that you download the stable version rather than the beta unless you enjoy testing out the latest programs and realize that beta versions of any program often have serious bugs.
You can get WorldTime by clicking here.

Making a Good Web Page
It's easy to make a web page. However, it's not quite so easy to make a really good web page unless you're an experienced graphics designer. To help you along with your first web page, you may want to try some templates to get you started. Some of the best we've seen are at Elated.com.
All these templates are free. However, you might like to click the Pagekits.com link to see what Elated has to offer for sale.
To check out the free templates, click here.

Running Applications from IE 6
If you're working with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and need to check something on your hard disk, or even run a program located on your hard disk, you don't have to leave the browser and open Windows Explorer. All you have to do is type the folder you want to visit in the browser's
Address Bar and press Enter.
As an example, let's suppose that you want to view or run a file in C:\My Folder. Just type
C:\My Folder
into the Address Bar and press Enter. IE 6 will take you to that folder. To run a program, just double-click its icon.
